His Excellency Dr. Tariq Bin Hendi is a Board Member at Astra Tech, the consumer arm of G42, and serves as Chief Executive Officer of botim, Astra Tech’s flagship platform. Astra Tech connects G42’s deep AI investments with consumer innovation, creating technologies that turn complex systems into accessible everyday solutions.

As CEO, Dr. Tariq is leading the transformation of botim from one of the region’s most trusted communication platforms into a fintech-first, AI-native ecosystem. Under his leadership, botim is redefining financial inclusion by embedding accessible communication, payments, and everyday financial services into a seamless, user-friendly platform.

Previously, he served as the Chief Investment Officer at G42. Before G42, he was the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, where he was tasked with expanding private sector activity in the Emirate. He held leadership roles at various institutions, including Emirates NBD, Mubadala, and Citibank. He is also the Chairman of Edelman Middle East and sits on several boards, including the UAE University and 7X.
