Dr Almarzooqi is the Co-Founder and Managing director at metabolic.health, a hybrid healthcare company focused on metabolic disease in the UAE and UK. It current powers two brands- GluCare.Health and Zone.Health.

Dr. Almarzooqi has published over 40 peer reviewed scientific studies focused on metabolic health innovations using new care models. He was recently recognized in Arabian Business Top 30 health Visionaries list (2024) and in the Forbes list for top healthcare leaders (2023). He is also an Endeavor Entrepreneur and the first Emirati to be selected.

For almost a decade, Dr. Ihsan Almarzooqi served as the Deputy Head/Vice Chairman at Mubadala Healthcare, and managed several large projects including Healthpoint, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, National Reference Laboratory, Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre. He served as a long-time board member at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He is currently a scientific advisory committee member of the Abu Dhabi biobank.

Dr. Almarzooqi earned his Ph.D. and M.Sc in Biochemical Engineering from University College London, a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, and an MBA from London Business School. He became the first Emirati to represent the UAE in single scull rowing during the Beijing Olympics qualifications in 2008.
