Sana Kapadia is Chief Catalyst at Heading for Change, investing in solutions that advance climate, nature, biodiversity and gender equality. Her career has spanned gender and climate finance, venture capital, development finance, impact investing and equity research. She is focused on leveraging capital as a tool for social change and to support deep and intersectional systemic shifts. From structuring a +$10MN gender-smart fintech fund to deploying $2MN towards a diverse portfolio of climate funds that collectively manage $2.8BN, Sana has worked in developed and emerging markets across both public and private sector capital. She has led executive leadership roles, grown businesses and advanced the field of gender lens investing. She holds an MA in Development Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and an iBBA in Finance & Accounting from York University’s Schulich School of Business. She sits on the Board of Criterion Institute and the Ban-Ki moon Foundation’s Cross Sector Leadership Committee, and is a Strategic Advisor to other impact organisations.
