Lenka Basweidan is the Founder and CEO of arabee, a UAE-based company transforming the way children learn Arabic. arabee has built a complete Arabic learning ecosystem and curriculum for nurseries and schools—making Arabic joyful, immersive, and accessible for children, teachers, and parents alike.

Ms Basweidan began her career at Dubai Holding in the Strategy Division, supporting long-term, future-facing Dubai projects. She later led operations for business centres in Dubai Media City and Knowledge Village, and went on to work as a consultant at a boutique consultancy before transitioning into entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems & Technology from the United States and an MBA from the American University of Sharjah.

Having called the UAE home for 25 years, Lenka’s personal mission to help her three children love and value Arabic inspired the creation of arabee, which has so far engaged 50,000+ learners across five continents. Leveraging her background in IT, strategy, and project management, she leads a team of Arabic educators, linguists, and technology experts who developed a programme that, in pilot data, improved retention of vocabulary, letters, and grammar concepts by 52%.
