He is also a Professor at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and Director of the MBZUAI Metaverse Center. Formerly a Distinguished Fellow at UC Berkeley and Associate Professor at USC, Hao is widely recognised for his groundbreaking work in real-time 3D facial tracking, photorealistic human digitisation, and AI-powered video synthesis, with applications spanning Hollywood, gaming, and immersive media.
