Azizjon Azimi
Founder & CEO, zypl.ai; Chair, AI Council of Tajikstan
Azizjon Azimi is an AI entrepreneur from Tajikistan. An alum of Stanford University (MBA 2021 as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar) and Harvard University (MPP 2021), he is the founder of A7σ (A7Sigma) – an AI holding company with ventures across foundational and applied AI, green AI compute and talent development based in Tajikistan and the UAE. A7σ’s flagship venture is zypl.ai – a startup pioneering synthetic AI agents for financial services. Backed by leading global investors such as Prosus, zypl’s solutions are deployed by 60+ financial institutions across 20 countries globally.

Azizjon is also the founding chair of the Artificial Intelligence Council under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan. In this role, he spearheaded the passage of Tajikistan’s national AI strategy – the first in Central Asia – and is leading the strategy’s implementation with a consortium of public and private stakeholders. With support from the Government of Tajikistan, Azizjon is overseeing the launch of Area AI – a dedicated AI technopark in Dushanbe, Tajikistan with preferences for global AI companies including a self-regulatory sandbox for AI.

Prior to his current endeavors, Azizjon founded TajRupt - an educational nonprofit transforming youth potential into human capital through extracurricular activities in Tajikistan. He had previously graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts and double honors in economics and international relations from New York University. For his work with TajRupt, Azizjon was featured in Forbes “30 Under 30” Asia as a leading social entrepreneur.
