Alaa Elgamal is a 26-year-old entrepreneur who builds businesses around causes she cares about. Her work is driven by conviction and a belief that businesses should create long term value.

Her entrepreneurial journey began at sixteen, when she was introduced to entrepreneurship as a way to create change in the world at school. With no entrepreneurial background, Alaa chose to bet on herself by studying business committing to understanding how organizations function and how ideas turn into profitable businesses.
She studied finance and management at the American University of Sharjah, where she ranked among top performers while working as a business courses tutor, business school ambassador, mentor to first-year students, research assistant, and teaching assistant. She received multiple scholarships for academic and social excellence and immersed herself deeply across core business disciplines.
After graduation, Alaa built execution credibility through financial and managerial consulting at KPMG and Alvarez & Marsal, contributing to high-stakes transformation projects across public and private sector clients from the age of 22.
In January 2024, she founded Bulbul as her first venture. Bulbul delivered over 8,000 sessions and earned top regional recognition, including Highest Pre Seed Funding at Seal The Deal and First Place at the SBWC Pearl Quest.
