Abdullah Alistad Al Hammadi, born on December 28, 1996, in Abu Dhabi, is a talented photographic artist and calligrapher from Khorfakkan. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Quality and Strategy Management from Dubai’s Higher Colleges of Technology, he currently serves as a government employee.
Abdullah’s journey in photography began during middle school, where his passion for capturing unique perspectives led him to master the craft through self-learning and collaboration with fellow photographers. Using both film and digital mediums, his work showcases the interplay of light and composition, with a portfolio rich in street photography, natural landscapes, and iconic landmarks, particularly in Sharjah’s eastern region. His dedication to photography also extends to television, where he hosted a program on Al Sharqiya Channel, exploring the beauty of the local environment.
A lifelong passion for Arabic calligraphy flourished during his university years in 2015. Drawing inspiration from classical masters like Masoud Al Hassani, Abdullah blends traditional techniques with contemporary styles to create visually striking and meaningful artwork. His participation in prominent exhibitions, including “50 Calligraphers for 50 Years” and the Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial, showcases his contribution to the evolving art form.
Abdullah also champions cultural preservation and awareness through his media engagements and community initiatives. He hosts an Arabic calligraphy radio show on Sharjah Radio, collaborates on artistic projects, and actively promotes the integration of calligraphy into modern design.
