Majd Abu Zant is the Managing Director and CEO of Global Fertility, a Saudi-Emirati healthcare investment venture focused on building the leading network of fertility and reproductive genetics centers across the Middle East and North Africa, starting with a strong presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is also the Co-Founder & Chairman of OvaSave, a UAE-based ‘Femtech’ start-up with a focus on reproductive and women’s health.

Majd has more than 27 years of diversified strategic and results-oriented experience in leadership roles within the healthcare sector. He has developed collaborations with leading international healthcare institutions in Asia, Europe and North America, fostering strong partnerships and establishing world-class facilities and innovative healthcare services.

A highly regarded thought leader, global mentor and expert in the field, Majd possesses extensive experience in developing greenfield and brown-field projects, M&A transactions, supporting healthtech start-ups, and in leading disruptive businesses through rapid growth and successful exits. He also serves on multiple boards supporting the development of healthcare strategy and regulations and creating health-tech ecosystems across the region.

Prior to founding Global Fertility and OvaSave, Majd was the Chief Executive Officer at UEMedical – a leading healthcare organization, which operated more than one hundred specialized hospitals and clinics across KSA and UAE. Under his leadership, UEMedical made significant strides in delivering world-class care to millions of patients across the region. In only a few years, UEMedical built Danat Al Emarat Hospital, firmly positioning it as a national leader in women and child health; diligently grew HealthPlus Fertility, creating the leading IVF network in the Middle East, and flourished in a successful partnership with Moorfields of London - one of the oldest and most renowned eye institutes in the world. UEMedical later expanded its regional footprint through the acquisition of a stake in Almeswak with more than 80 clinics across the vast Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, creating a strong platform for growth throughout the region. In early 2022, he led the exit of UEMedical to Mubadala - a sovereign investor - and a US private equity firm, in one of the largest transactions in healthcare in the region.

Majd was recognized by prestigious publications as one of the top healthcare executives in the Middle East including Forbes Middle East Top Healthcare Leaders list in 2023 and 2024. He holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), and has completed an intensive Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
