Hicham Chahine (36) is the youngest founder to ever list a company on a U.S. main exchange from the Middle East, the Arab world, and the Nordics. He is the Founder, Co-Chief Executive Officer, and Director of NIP Group, and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Group’s global business.
Hicham acquired Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) in 2016 and has since built it into one of the world’s largest gaming and entertainment platforms. Under his leadership, NIP Group has expanded beyond esports into digital infrastructure, positioning the Company as the largest crypto mining company originating from the Middle East and one of the top listed crypto mining companies globally.
Prior to founding NIP Group and acquiring Ninjas in Pyjamas, Hicham built a career spanning global finance and entrepreneurship. From May 2008 to June 2016, he served as Managing Director of Hedge Funds (approximately USD 100 billion) at Formue and NBIM, the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund. In February 2010, he founded and served as Chairman of Diglife AS, a private equity firm with investments across lifestyle, gaming, and technology-focused companies.
Hicham holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from BI Norwegian Business School, earned in 2013.
