Captain Sahar Rasti, a trailblazing Emirati woman, is the visionary founder and CEO of SJR Group. SJR General Trading, one of the group’s key ventures, provides high-quality goods and services, aligning with Rasti’s commitment to elevating the maritime industry. Other subsidiaries specialize in diverse fields, including smart home technology, honey production and export, horse training and stable management, in addition to a company specializing in maritime services. Rasti’s journey in the maritime sector began in 2015 when she joined Abu Dhabi Ports in an administrative assistant position. She quickly climbed the career ladder to become a maritime services coordinator, making her the first Emirati woman to hold this position. She played a significant role in developing the company’s practices in accordance with the highest international standards.
